About Us

The History of Glavakis Nurseries begins in 1928, when Georgios Glavakis started producing grapevine plants.

The story continues in 1976 with agronomist Ioannis Glavakis, who introduced innovations to Greek fruit tree cultivation and made the name of our nurseries synonymous with reliability, pioneering spirit and consistency in the field of propagation material.

Today, the nursery continues with the third generation, Giorgos and Vangelis Glavakis.

The company’s activity has now expanded into ornamental plants, with the name becoming established nationwide in the field of floriculture as well, further increasing its production activity.

Glavakis Fruit Plants are the natural continuation of the parent company and represent the specialized division dedicated to the production of propagation material exclusively for top-quality fruit tree saplings.

The Goal remains the same as at the beginning: to offer healthy, high-quality plants, while also keeping up with global trends for the benefit of the Greek farmer.

We participate in exhibitions, visit research institutes and maintain communication channels with universities in Greece and around the world, in order to keep farmers informed about new techniques, species, varieties and practices.

We are always in close cooperation with specialized companies, organizations and institutes across Europe, aiming to ensure not only the excellent quality of plant material, but also new species, varieties, cultivation methods and techniques for the Greek farmer.

Our Commitment is to remain at the forefront of developments and to provide quality propagation material, along with support and training services for the modern fruit grower.
